RRU – Roll Resistor Unit
Gas separation system, optimised for sensitive and flexible substrates. Consistent one-side-touch principle protects the active side of the substrate. Multi-stage version available for high vacuum environment.
RRV – Roll Resistor Valve
Load Lock system for sensitive substrates.
Provides the possibility to configure ATM-VAC-ATM combination systems from atmospheric processes (ATM) and vacuum processes (VAC).
Consistent one-side-touch principle protects the active side of the substrate.
Optional radiation traps allow EB electron beam technology to be used in the high vacuum process sections.
ILS – Interleaf System
Sensitive substrates require an intermediate layer when they are stored as an coil.
The unwinders and winders can be equipped for such intermediate layers.
FCS – Flex Carrier System
Supports the handling of sensitive substrates.
SCS – Substrate Cover System
Protective layer for sensitive substrates and coatings; available for front side and back side.
Hybrid systems consist of a combination of atmospheric and vacuum processes and offer advantages with regard to quality and process reliability.
This reduces material stress to the absolutely necessary minimum, which is crucial for highly sensitive substrates in particular.
In addition, combining atmospheric and vacuum processes in a single substrate run in combined ATM-VAC-ATM systems reduces the transport distances and saves costs.
